How it works
When you move cities, you don't know the local realtors. Realtors refer clients to each other across Canada every day, and the receiving realtor pays a referral fee. We make the introduction, and most of that fee comes back to you.

Within 24 hours, a licensed brokerage introduces you to three realtors in your new city.
Pick one of the three, or name your own realtor and we'll introduce you to them. The choice is always yours.
Same homes, same price, same mortgage. Nothing about your purchase changes.
Paid to you by e-transfer within 14 days of the referral fee being received.
What you get back
The receiving realtor pays a standard 25% referral fee on their commission. The majority of it goes to you.
Cashback amounts are estimates only. Actual amounts depend on your final purchase price and the commission paid to the realtor in your transaction. Cashback is paid only on purchases that close through a HiveRewards introduction.

No. The realtor pays the referral fee out of their commission, the same way realtors pay each other for referrals every day. Your purchase price doesn't change.
No. You can choose any realtor you like. If you already have someone in mind, tell us who. We just need to make the introduction so the referral is on record, and they agree to the standard referral arrangement. That's what gets you your cashback. If none of our three are the right fit, we'll introduce others.
The same way realtors choose who to refer to. Where the brokerage has worked with someone before, they're included. Where they haven't, the brokerage confirms the realtor's licence and background first. You interview them and decide.
Before you sign with a realtor in your new city, even if it's someone you already know. The introduction has to come from us first. Once you've signed with someone directly, we can't help on that purchase.
It's generally treated as a rebate on your purchase rather than income. Check with your accountant for your own situation.
